Drought and Lifes

BY KYAW ZAY YAR LIN

The effects of climate change are evident as many people face drought and water scarcity. The world is suffering due to these changes, with drought being one of the most troubling consequences for all species—humans, animals, and trees alike. In some regions, people dig small wells, hoping to find water beneath the dry soil. These wells provide essential water for drinking and daily use. Villagers depend on this water not only for themselves but also for their animals, understanding that the entire ecosystem is struggling with water scarcity, especially during the hot season. The soil is also deteriorating, leading to further devastation. The impact of climate change reaches deep into ecosystems, affecting life at every level. We must work toward creating a healthier world and addressing these urgent challenges. This photograph was taken to show the devastating effects of climate change and the damage it is causing to the planet.
